" A Primary Act Installation
"the girl knew that in order to hold on to her life at all it would require a primary act of imagination." . . . Carol Shields
A site specific installation of sculptural pieces constructed in images of female architypes .. The pieces were made of transparent to translucent materials held together with parafin and beeswax. Pieces of artwork, found materials, lingerie and imagery were suspended between the layers. The layers were then sewn onto chicken wire and hardware cloth armatures. Embroidered text was added to the surface. The pieces were suspended and lit from within. A written narrative was part of the installation.
